This contract position is on-site, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with patients and contribute to their mental health and well-being. As a Locum MD in Psychiatry, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health disorders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for our patients, while also contributing to the overall improvement of our psychiatric services. This role is ideal for an associate-level physician looking to enhance their expertise in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients Provide ongoing psychotherapy and medication management Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately Participate in team meetings and case discussions Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in psychiatry Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Board certification in Psychiatry is preferred Valid medical license to practice in the state Strong clinical skills and knowledge of psychiatric disorders Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices Previous experience in a psychiatric setting is a plus
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p Call shifts required
Setting:
Inpatient and outpatient
Duties:
Diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, medication management, follow-up care, etc.
EMR:
CPRS Any active, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory accepted Must be board-certified or board-eligible Paid travel & expenses
