POTENTIAL
opportunity for a full time Psychiatrist at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.Position Details:
Monday - Friday, (Currently M-F, 8:00am to 4:30pm)On-site care for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiariesInpatient settingsOn Call Hours =Nights, Weekends, and HolidaysKey Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans.6 patients for an hour each or roughly 12 patients for one half-houreach; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day totaling 6 to 6.5Direct Patient Care:
estimated 90%Scope of Care Physicians shall be responsible for:Inpatient Care:
All psychiatrists will be required to work in collaboration with Mental Health staff who are part-time or full time salaried by the VA for inpatient care dutiesOperating and collaborating physician's patientsSeeing 1C/1D Psychiatry Service - Ward PatientsAdmitting and Diagnosis of patientsDeveloping Treatment PlansManaging, including the performance of timely treatmentDischarge/Transfer all needed medical record documentationQualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist:
Active certification or eligibility required.Valid medical license in any U.S. state.
