Job Description
We are seeking a fellowship-trained locum orthopedic trauma surgeon to join a physician-led organization in Glendale, Arizona. The group specializes in building and supporting high-performing surgical teams nationwide, offering predictable scheduling, robust clinical support, and a hospital-based environment that lets surgeons focus on excellent patient care. This role supports a Level II Trauma Center and pairs you with an experienced orthopedic trauma team in a collaborative, well-resourced practice. You'll manage a balanced mix of operative and non-operative trauma care with a focus on quality outcomes and patient-centered treatment. Schedule 183, 24-hour shifts annually Blocked scheduling with 7-day rotations Built-in recovery time between rotations Key responsibilities Provide operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients Participate in trauma call coverage and manage a broad range of fractures and orthopedic injuries Collaborate closely with trauma surgery, emergency medicine, hospitalists, and rehabilitation teams Balance surgical cases, inpatient care, and follow-up clinic responsibilities Maintain timely documentation and uphold high standards of patient care Qualifications Board eligible or board certified in Orthopedic Surgery Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship completion preferred Experience managing orthopedic trauma in a hospital-based setting Eligible for Arizona medical licensure and able to obtain/maintain hospital privileges Benefits and perks Generous above-market hourly rate All travel arrangements provided and booked by the group (in addition to shift pay) Malpractice and tail insurance covered Dedicated locums consultant to assist with credentialing and scheduling If you're looking for a supportive, team-oriented practice with predictable blocks and strong administrative support, this opportunity in Glendale offers clinical focus and professional flexibility.
