Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Radiology Front Desk Representative to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience while managing essential administrative functions. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help facilitate efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and seamless coordination with clinical staff. Duties Greet patients, visitors, and healthcare providers with professionalism and enthusiasm, creating a positive first impression. Schedule appointments for radiology procedures using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as RAMSOFT, and MedMetrix. Verify patient insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and conduct insurance verification to ensure accurate billing processes. Collect and review patient documentation, including medical history forms, consent forms, and prior imaging records, maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA confidentiality policies. Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; answer inquiries promptly and direct calls appropriately. Prepare and update medical records, ensuring accuracy in electronic health records (EHR) management platforms like RAMSOFT. Assist with medical billing and collection processes related to radiology services, including CPT coding and ICD coding for diagnoses. Maintain clinic organization by filing documents, managing appointment schedules, and supporting overall office management tasks. Support clinical staff by facilitating communication between patients and radiology technicians while ensuring compliance with health information management standards. Experience Prior experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical billing procedures including insurance verification, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and Medicare guidelines. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple phone lines and manage front desk operations efficiently. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Experience in medical settings involving medical terminology, medical records management, or clinic administration is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing skills such as 10-key typing for data entry tasks.
