Job Description

Rewarding career. Competitive salary. Outstanding benefits. The Director of Imaging Services is responsible for overall operations, performance and success of Imaging Services. This position coordinates procedures, reviews protocols with Chief Radiologist and revises as necessary policy and ensures compliance with DOH requirements. The Director of Imaging Services is a PACS and EHR specialist for the Imaging Services Department.

Identifies and initiates department process improvements. Procures or requests necessary resources to efficiently provide services. Mentors and guides potential leaders. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Applies Critical and Strategic Principles Assists in developing strategic objectives to help achieve organization's vision. Assists in developing and implementing major cost reduction efforts when needed. Critically analyzes perspectives, alternatives, and potential impact when solving complex strategic and operational issues. Assists in negotiating contracts to assure provision of services.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Radiologist Relations Assists Radiologist with procedures. Coordinates with Radiologist to enhance department productivity. Quality Maintains responsibility for PACS administration. Monitors Quality Assurance and Quality Control in the department. Reviews charges and codes annually. Modality Performs the job functions of an Imaging Services modality. Functions as an EHR super-user.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Health care or business-related field. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Imaging Services. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in Imaging or Health care related field. ARDMS or ARRT certification. At least two (2) years of PACS Administration experience. Certified in AHA BLS within 30 days of hire and maintained while employed. Meets the requirements of an Imaging Services modality. Preferred Master's Degree in Health Care field Director Level Experience in Imaging Services or Health Care field
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is primarily worked in a clinical and office environment. This may include irregular working hours including weekends and on-call responsibilities. Travel to off-site locations for meetings, education and training may be required. The position will frequently require walking, lifting, reaching carrying, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling of objects weighing up to 20lbs. The position will occasionally require the ability to lift, and carry, up to 50 pounds and push or pull over 50 pounds, as well as require bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, reaching overhead, sitting and standing frequently. Occasionally the position requires climbing, kneeling and crawling. The position requires continuous finger dexterity and fine manipulation. All basic life functions such as hearing, seeing, speaking, standing and walking are required. The employee must demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
