Job Description
Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician for locum tenens assignments across California. Provide outpatient and/or inpatient pediatric care, manage acute and chronic conditions, perform well-child visits, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care. Typical duties include exams, diagnosis, treatment planning, documentation, and coordination with nursing and specialists. Responsibilities Provide outpatient and/or inpatient pediatric care to infants, children, and adolescents Conduct well-child exams, acute visits, and follow-up appointments Diagnose and manage common pediatric illnesses and chronic conditions Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and laboratory results Develop and document treatment plans and prescriptions in the medical record Coordinate care with nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnoses and care plans Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, hospital policies, and regulatory standards Participate in on-call coverage as needed per assignment Collaborate with Alumni Healthcare Staffing team for scheduling and assignment logistics Required Skills Pediatric clinical assessment and diagnosis Management of acute pediatric conditions Chronic disease management in children Ordering and interpreting labs and imaging Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Pediatric life support and emergency response Care coordination with multidisciplinary teams Patient and family communication Evidence-based medicine in pediatrics Regulatory and compliance knowledge in clinical settings
