Job Description
At Northbay Health, the Board-Certified, Licensed Inpatient Neurologist will practice within our highly regarded health system in Northern California. NorthBay Health Neuroscience & Spine is comprised of expert neuroscience specialists dedicated to treating the full spectrum of complex neurological conditions. With expertise in stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, brain tumors, neurotrauma, and other neurological conditions, our specialists provide around-the-clock emergency care with support from advanced-trained nurses and therapists at Solano County and Napa, CA hospitals/facilities. Northbay Health is ideally located between the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa Valley, and Sacramento. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with dedicated procedure and administrative timeCall Schedule:

Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)Primary Responsibilities:
Diagnose complex neurological conditions through patient history, physical examinations, and specialized neurological testing. Counsel patients and families regarding neurological disorders, treatment plans, and prognosis. Order and interpret neurological diagnostic tests, including neuroimaging studies. Prescribe and administer appropriate treatments and medications. Monitor patients for behavioral, cognitive, and other treatment-related side effects. Coordinate and order supportive care services as needed. Participate in neuroscience research and quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals throughout the community and hospital system. Stay current with advances in neurology, emerging treatments, and new medications. Evaluate and manage specialized neurological conditions, including sleep disorders, neuroimmunology, neuro-oncology, behavioral neurology, and neurogenetics. Perform and interpret lumbar punctures, electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction studies (NCS). MD or DO degree Board-certified in Neurology Licensed to practice medicine in the state Proven experience in Neurology procedures Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Compensation and perks: Total W2 Compensation up to $627,560 year 1 (based on a 1.0 FTE) Income Guarantee years 1-2 $349,632 Sign On Bonus up to $40,000 Relocation available for qualified candidates up to $20,000 Retention bonus beginning end of year 2 up to $30,000 Quality incentive eligible year 3 A positive work-life balance Collaborative and energized clinical teamsBenefits
