At Northbay Health, the Board-Certified, Licensed Inpatient Neurologist will practice within our highly regarded health system in Northern California. NorthBay Health Neuroscience & Spine is comprised of expert neuroscience specialists dedicated to treating the full spectrum of complex neurological conditions. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with dedicated procedure and administrative time

Call Schedule:

Shared call rotation

Daily Patient Census:

14 to 16 patients

Primary Responsibilities:

Diagnose complex neurological conditions through patient history, physical examinations, and specialized neurological testing. Counsel patients and families regarding neurological disorders, treatment plans, and prognosis. Order and interpret neurological diagnostic tests, including neuroimaging studies. Prescribe and administer appropriate treatments and medications. Monitor patients for behavioral, cognitive, and other treatment-related side effects. Coordinate and order supportive care services as needed. Participate in neuroscience research and quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals throughout the community and hospital system. Stay current with advances in neurology, emerging treatments, and new medications. Evaluate and manage specialized neurological conditions, including sleep disorders, neuroimmunology, neuro-oncology, behavioral neurology, and neurogenetics. Perform and interpret lumbar punctures, electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction studies (NCS).
