Job Description
Nocturnist Physician
Responsibilities Provide high-quality inpatient medical care, including initial assessments, ongoing management, and discharge planning for hospitalized patients. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Conduct thorough physical examinations, interpret diagnostic imaging like CT scans, and review laboratory results to inform clinical decisions. Manage complex cases involving critical care experience, neurocritical care, cardiology, pulmonology, and other specialties as needed. Collaborate with specialists to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies while maintaining patient service excellence across inpatient settings. Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited institution with active licensure to practice medicine in California. Proven experience in hospital medicine or related inpatient care environments; critical care experience highly preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems familiarity with medical terminology and CPT coding. Strong knowledge of physiology, medical imaging interpretation (CT), and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Ability to perform procedures including suturing, airway management, and ventilator support; neonatal ventilator experience is a plus. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication and teamwork abilities. Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in neurocritical care, cardiology, or pediatrics are advantageous.
