09/05/2026 Job Description Job Description Hematology/Oncology in San Luis Obispo, California Established Practice 1:4 Weekend Call 20-Chair Infusion Center Coastal California A well-established hematology and oncology practice on California's Central Coast is looking for a physician ready to step into immediate clinical volume with strong referral patterns stretching from Paso Robles to Pismo Beach. The infrastructure is in place, the team is experienced, and San Luis Obispo is one of the more genuinely livable addresses in the state. Practice Details Established patient base with consistent new referrals and rapid ramp-up potential Monday through Friday clinic attached to a 20-chair infusion center with every-other-week tumor boards A collaborative team of experienced physicians supported by three mid-levels and a Stanford-trained NP handling pediatric patients Clinical trial participation is available for those with a research interest Schedule and Call Monday through Friday clinic schedule 1:4 weekend call limited to your own patients with hospitalist coverage, minimizing after-hours demands Compensation & Benefits Generous base salary plus productivity incentives with a sign-on bonus and paid relocation Up to 160 hours PTO plus 6 paid holidays, CME time, and reimbursement Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and LTD coverage with 403(b) and 457(b) retirement plans Occurrence-based malpractice insurance with no tail required Candidate Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology Committed to providing both hematology and oncology care Eligible for California medical licensure Live and Work in San Luis Obispo, California San Luis Obispo consistently ranks among the most livable communities in California, and the reasons are hard to argue with.
