Job Description

Our client in California is seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for an 80-day assignment beginning Oct 5, 2026. This dynamic role involves a blend of 24-hour call coverage, including weeknights and weekends, in conjunction with Monday-Friday 8am-5pm clinic and cath lab appointments. The Physician will manage inpatient care, handle STEMI cases, and perform emergency interventional cardiology procedures. Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive interventional cardiology care, including inpatient coverage, call responsibilities, outpatient clinic, and cath lab appointments. Manage 24/7 interventional call and general call coverage. Conduct Echo, stress, and EKG reads. Be proficient in handling STEMI cases and performing emergency interventional cardiology procedures such as stents, catheterization, angioplasty, and balloon pumps. Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, with an average volume of 370 diagnostic and 136 interventional cases per year.

Epic Setting:
Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
Call Schedule:
24-hour call, including weeknights and weekends. Potential for 1 week on, 1 week off schedule.
Patient Volume:
Typical volume includes 2-4 STEMIs per day, with an annual average of 370 diagnostic and 136 interventional cases.
