Job Description

The Hurtt Family Health Clinic is looking for a Physician to provide primary medical care to all ages and types of clinic patients, including some pediatric patients. The Physician will carry out the mission of the clinic to provide high-quality integrated primary care that is compassionate, culturally sensitive, equitable, and trauma-informed, to all patients and families who are eligible to receive services at Hurtt. This position also provides direct and indirect clinical supervision of mid-level providers and provides support on complex medical care issues. The Physician participates in the supervision, training and development of mid-level providers, RNs, and medical assistants.
Schedule:
This on-call position provides coverage as needed with an expected variable schedule of 8-20 hours per week. We may be open to discussing a set schedule of days and hours based on clinic needs.

To officially apply for this position, and review the full job description, including minimum requirements, job duties, and benefits, please submit an Employment Application at www.hurttclinic.org/employment The best candidate for this position: is a Board certified Physician and an accredited Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) has 3-5 years of experience as a Physician the ability to to foster a safe environment where people will feel comfortable to share private, pertinent information for effective treatment the ability to diagnose and treat medical issues commonly experienced by homeless persons and uninsured persons understands the psychosocial factors involved in administering health services for homeless and uninsured persons experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health setting (preferred) ability to communicate in Spanish in a healthcare environment (preferred) The Hurtt Family Health Clinic is a local community health clinic organization that provides medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, and behavioral health services to low-income patients in Orange County, California. Our organization has four clinic locations within Orange County located in Tustin, Santa Ana, and Anaheim.
