Position Overview Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Intensivist to join our growing team in beautiful Northern California. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality critical care services in a collaborative, patient-centered environment while serving a diverse community in Mendocino County. As an Intensivist, you will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), working alongside hospitalists, specialists, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver exceptional outcomes. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive critical care management for ICU patients. Perform critical care consultations and procedures as clinically indicated. Collaborate closely with hospitalists, emergency physicians, surgeons, specialists, and advanced practice providers. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care planning. Ensure timely communication with patients, families, and referring providers. Maintain accurate and complete medical documentation. Promote evidence-based medicine and quality improvement initiatives. Participate in call coverage and scheduling as assigned. Support a culture focused on patient safety, quality outcomes, and physician engagement. Qualifications Required MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine. Eligible for California medical licensure. Current DEA registration and controlled substance certification. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Preferred Fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine. Experience managing complex ICU patients.
