Job Description
Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks a Primary Care Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Adelanto, CA. In this role you will provide outpatient primary care, including comprehensive exams, chronic disease management, acute visit coverage, and preventive care for an adult patient population. You will review histories, order and interpret labs and diagnostics, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and coordinate care with nursing and support staff. The position requires accurate documentation in the EMR, adherence to clinical guidelines, and collaboration with onsite teams to ensure timely, high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Provide outpatient primary care to adult patients, including chronic disease management and acute visits Perform comprehensive histories, physical exams, and preventive care services Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies Develop and adjust evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications Document encounters accurately and timely in the EMR system Collaborate with nursing, support staff, and specialists to coordinate patient care Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, quality metrics, and regulatory standards Provide patient education on conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications Required Skills Adult primary care Chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, COPD) Outpatient clinical workflows History and physical examination Ordering and interpreting labs and diagnostics EMR documentation Medication management and prescribing Patient education and counseling Care coordination and team collaboration Clinical guideline and quality metric adherence
