Job Description

Opportunity Information Sutter North Medical Group (SNMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC General Ophthalmologist to join our dynamic team in Yuba City, CA. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and detect eye diseases or abnormalities Diagnose and manage acute and chronic eye conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy Perform surgical procedures such as cataract surgery, laser treatments, and other ophthalmologic interventions (if applicable to subspecialty) Prescribe medications and corrective lenses as needed Interpret diagnostic testing results (e.g., OCT, visual fields, fundus photography) Educate patients on eye care, treatment plans, and preventive measures Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Collaborate with optometrists, primary care providers, and other specialists for coordinated patient care Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology through continuing education Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology Active (or eligible for) CA state medical license Fellowship training in a subspecialty (e.g., retina, cornea, glaucoma, oculoplastic) preferred but not required Strong clinical and surgical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Join Us and Enjoy Sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 Relocation assistance of up to $20,000 for qualified applicants Excellent benefits, including zero-cost medical insurance Paid medical benefits for employees and dependents Award-winning, 100% 401(k) match CME allowance Robust retirement program Advanced practice technology, including EPIC A positive work-life balance and Northern California's natural beauty and lifestyle Organization Details Sutter North Medical Group is a 100+ member multi-specialty medical group where primary and specialty physicians and staff provide personalized care in offices throughout Yuba-Sutter in Northern California.
