Registered Radiology Assistant Denver Metropolitan Area Employment Type:
Full Time We will also consider a Physician Assistant with comparable experience for this position Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is comprised of over 100 radiologists. All with exceptional skill and expertise, most are fellowship-trained in their field of specialty for additional certification. We are dedicated to accurate and efficient patient diagnosis no matter their condition. Our interventional radiologists perform some of the most leading-edge treatments available today. We partner with primary care physicians and hospitals across Colorado and Hawaii to provide a resource for both patients and physicians. The current RPA/RRA team covers more than 20 clinical sites and performs more than 40 different clinical exams including: All fluoroscopy exams in diagnostic radiology, outpatient and inpatient barium and water soluble studies of the GI tract, contrast visualization of the urinary tract, joint injections/aspirations, tube placements, lumbar punctures, and hysterosalpingograms.
Primary Responsibilities:
Take a leading role in patient management and assessment: Verifies order for appropriateness Obtains consent Acts as liaison between radiologist and ordering provider Practices ALARA and advocates for patient safety Organizes daily patient schedule (with multiple sites when necessary) Performs hospital fluoroscopy examinations and procedures under radiologist supervision Maintains sterile technique during invasive procedures Demonstrates critical thinking skills i.e.: emergency situations, critical patients Knowledge of extensive protocol (adult and pediatric) Follows medication guidelines and protocols Assess and evaluate the physiologic and psychological responsiveness of each patient Responsible for evaluating image quality, making initial image observations, and communicating those observations to the supervising radiologist
Experience/Skill Requirements:
ARRT registered radiologic technologist with a minimum of 5 years' experience preferred Must have excellent working relationships with physicians, patients, and hospital staff Documentation of clinical experience and RPA/RRA competency Must have reliable transportation

Education Requirements:
Graduate of ARRT approved RRA program with current
ARRT RRA
certification or successful completion of a Radiology Practitioner Assistant (RPA) program with current RPA registration with the CBRPA Current
ACLS/BLS
certification Meets current continuing education requirements to maintain
ARRT/CBRPA
certification Maintain values congruent with the Code of Ethics as well as adhering to national, institutional and /or departmental standards, policies and procedures regarding the standards of care for patients Must be able to read, write, and speak in English Compensation is between $110,000 and $160,000 annually contingent upon qualifications. In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associates' reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position will accept applications on an ongoing basis, and will remain open until filled.
