Job Description

Location- Nestled in Eastern Connecticut this city includes rural country areas, suburban neighborhoods, and historic districts. This area provides a low cost of living relative to large metropolitan areas and breathtaking coastline being within 80 miles from New York, NY, 40 miles from Hartford, CT and 20 minutes to the coast. Opportunity- Psychiatrist Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 pm. Psychiatric consultation on medical/surgical patients. Telephone psychiatric consultation to crisis workers to review ER psychiatric patients. Rounding on crisis patients who remain in the ER for >24 hours and as needed. Shared call rotation with 3 other psychiatrists. Every fourth weeknight from home. Two required weekends/year with on-site rounding. Backup to moonlighters when they cover weekends. Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
Competitive salary plus incentive compensation based on productivity. Provider will also share in bonus awards from based on participation in quality or utilization programs from various insurers. Benefits include medical, vision, dental (including orthodontia), 401k with employer match and CME allowance.
