Job Description

  • Psychiatry opening in Georgetown, DE
  • Ocean City, MD 35m Full-time, Permanent Seeking a Psychiatrist to join its Inpatient Psychiatric team. This is a full-time, onsite role offering a structured weekday schedule in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment focused on high-quality inpatient psychiatric care.
  • Monday-Friday daytime schedule (no routine nights or weekends)
  • 100% onsite inpatient psychiatry (no telehealth)
  • Average of ~18 patients per day
  • Supportive team including psychiatrists, advanced practice providers, and per diem clinicians
  • Established inpatient unit with 99 beds
  • Opportunity to work in a collaborative and well-resourced behavioral health setting
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Manage a broad range of psychiatric conditions
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and medication management
  • Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary care coordination
  • Support involuntary commitment processes when clinically indicated
  • Collaborate with physicians, APPs, psychologists, and clinical staff
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
  • Qualifications (Required)
  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Psychiatry (within 0-5 years of residency)
  • Active Delaware medical license or ability to obtain
  • DEA registration (required prior to start)
  • CSR/CDS registration (required prior to start)
  • Current NPDB Self-Query report
  • BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
