46 / hour Summary Assists director in supervising personnel and overseeing the daily operations of a radiology department. Helps to recommend and implement policies and procedures. Understands and follows human resources and health system policies and procedures. Assists director in hiring, orienting, developing, coaching, counseling, and terminating of employees. Helps to supervise a staff of professionals and non-professionals within Radiology services. Coordinates equipment maintenance needs, performance improvement, and quality control activities specific to the department. Observes activities of staff and provides input for competency evaluations, and assists in the performance of staff evaluations as assigned by the department director. Helps to mentor lead technologists in their development. As appropriate and when needed, performs in the capacity of a technologist. May represent the department and/or director on campus committees and meetings as designated. Required to be on administrative call as needed. Acts as the designated department leader or representative in the absence of the director. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Performs those functions and duties delegated by the director. Assumes other roles and responsibilities as assigned by director. Requirements Educational Requirements Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/ Preferred and/or Bachelor'sHealthcarePreferred Additional Requirements Graduate of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography Program Experience Requirements Minimum Years Required Area of Experience Required/ Preferred and/or 3 YearsRadiologyRequired Prior experience as a lead or supervisor preferred State of Florida Licensure Requirements Licenses Required/ Preferred and/or Radiologic Technology LicenseRequired Additional Requirements American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registered (CNMT or ARDMS if applicable) DOH State of Florida
