Promotes a positive experience for children and their families throughout their healthcare journey. Focuses on the psychosocial development of children, providing emotional support, developmentally appropriate information, and play opportunities to help them cope. Utilizes play and self-expressive activities to minimize stress and anxiety for patients and families. May assist in application review and interview process for child life students and serve as a child life mentor. Other duties as assigned Maintains professional development and appropriate certifications. Maintain child life certification by attending professional development webinars, in services, and conferences.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
