As a Locum Tenens Ob/Gyn, you will deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, managing both routine and complex cases while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals who share a commitment to evidence-based medicine and compassionate patient-centered care. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients of all ages Perform routine gynecological examinations, screenings, and diagnostic procedures Manage prenatal care, labor, delivery, and postpartum care for expectant mothers Diagnose and treat conditions related to the female reproductive system Collaborate with nursing staff, midwives, and other specialists to deliver coordinated patient care Document patient histories, treatment plans, and clinical outcomes accurately in electronic health records Respond to emergency obstetric and gynecological situations promptly and effectively Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care Participate in on-call rotations and cover scheduled shifts as required by the practice Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Requirements Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited medical school Board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state Associate-level experience in obstetrics and gynecology, including proficiency in labor and delivery management Strong clinical skills in both surgical and non-surgical gynecologic procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development DEA registration and current
BLS/ACLS
certifications Malpractice insurance coverage or eligibility to obtain it
Schedule:
Monday-Friday (8a-5p)
Daily Volume:
18-24 patients
Case Types:
GYN clinic procedures, NSTs, and general OB/GYN mix
Support Staff:
CNMs 3 days per week Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
