Job Description
Ahealthcare facility in Englewood, FL, is seeking a flexible and experiencedEmergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity. This positionrequires the ability to work day, night, and weekend shifts in a dynamic andpatient-focused Emergency Department. The Emergency Department has an annual volume of 20,000 visits and is supportedby 24-hour daily physician coverage with 12-hour shifts. During surges, sepsisor stroke alerts, and difficult cases, phlebotomy services are available tosupport the team. The facility also provides advanced imaging services,including MRI, CT scans, X-ray, and ultrasound, to assist in patient diagnosisand care. As aLocums Emergency Medicine Physician, you will provide high-quality, timely careto patients presenting with acute medical needs. This includes evaluating,diagnosing, and treating a wide range of emergency medical conditions whilecollaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety andeffective treatment. You will utilize diagnostic tools such as imaging andlaboratory tests to guide your clinical decisions and deliver appropriate care.
Additionally, you will be responsible for accurately and promptly documentingpatient care in alignment with the facility's protocols to ensure continuity ofcare and compliance with established guidelines.

Qualifications:
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) or Family Practice/Internal Medicine with at least two years of current Emergency Medicine experience. Strong clinical skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Active Florida medical license and DEA certification. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications are highly preferred.
