Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. Perform procedures such as colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGD), sigmoidoscopies, polypectomies, and capsule endoscopy. Interpret diagnostic tests, including lab results, imaging studies, and endoscopic findings. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients. Provide consultation services to other physicians and healthcare providers. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Educate patients and families on digestive health, preventative measures, and treatment options. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements. Participate in staff meetings, and continuing education. 3 days in clinic, 2 days in procedures. Reasonable Shared Call with mid-level support 7 days a week.Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine. Completion of a fellowship in Gastroenterology. 3 years of experience in gastroenterologyGeneral GI:
BC/BE in Gastroenterology, Unrestricted Florida State Medical License or Eligible forLicensure Advanced GI:
BC/BE in Gastroenterology with advanced training in EUS & ERCP, Unrestricted Florida State Medical License or Eligible for Licensure Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida. DEA license for prescribing medications.Preferred Skills & Attributes:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Proficient in endoscopic techniques and management of complex GI conditions. Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Benefits:
