Job Description
Overview Anchor Spine and Joint is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Pain Management physician to join our growing practice, covering the greater Tampa and Pinellas County area. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will utilize your expertise in pain medicine, collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals, and employ cutting-edge techniques to diagnose and treat complex pain conditions. Your commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence will drive positive outcomes and foster lasting patient relationships. Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations to identify pain sources. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating interventional procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, radiofrequency ablations, and botulinum toxin treatments. Perform minimally invasive interventional pain procedures utilizing advanced medical imaging techniques like fluoroscopy and ultrasound guidance. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across specialties—including anesthesiology, radiology, neurology, orthopedics, and oncology—to optimize patient care strategies. Manage pre- and post-procedure patient care, ensuring safety protocols are followed and patients are well-informed about their treatment options. Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including procedure notes, treatment plans, and follow-up care instructions. Stay current with emerging pain management techniques and participate in ongoing clinical research or professional development activities to enhance expertise. Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited institution with active licensure to practice medicine. Completion of residency training in a relevant specialty such as Anesthesiology, Neurology, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), followed by post-residency experience in pain management. Board certification or eligibility in pain medicine or related specialty areas. Proficiency in utilizing EHR systems like Epic or similar platforms for documentation and patient management. Experience performing interventional radiology procedures under medical imaging guidance. Strong knowledge of healthcare diagnosis processes, pharmacology related to pain management, and clinical research methodologies. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients about treatment options. Familiarity with medical imaging modalities such as CT scans or fluoroscopy is preferred. Commitment to providing compassionate patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards.
