Job Description

We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join a well-established rural healthcare system in Southeast Georgia. This opportunity offers the chance to practice full-scope family medicine in a traditional model where physicians care for their patients in both the clinic and hospital setting. The organization serves as the primary healthcare provider for the surrounding community and provides a supportive, team-oriented environment for providers. The physician will work primarily in a rural health clinic located next to a 25-bed critical access hospital . The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Physicians typically round on hospitalized patients in the morning before transitioning to clinic, where they will see an average of approximately 25 patients per day . The position includes both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities and the opportunity to treat patients of all ages. The hospital includes a Level I nursery with approximately 180 deliveries per year , and while a pediatrician manages most newborns, family medicine physicians assist with nursery coverage as needed. Call responsibilities are shared with other providers and currently rotate 1:4 , with plans to move to 1:5 as the provider team grows. Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine physicians are encouraged to apply. New graduates and visa candidates are welcome.
