Job Description
Cardiology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Columbus, GA Columbus Cardiology Associates is growing and looking for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cardiovascular team in Columbus, Georgia. This is a great opportunity for an APP who wants to build a career in cardiology while working alongside an experienced team of six cardiologists and established Advanced Practice Providers. The position offers a combination of outpatient cardiology and hospital-based care, allowing you to develop experience across a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Experienced cardiology APPs are encouraged to apply, and we are also happy to consider new graduates who are passionate about cardiovascular medicine and looking for strong physician mentorship as they begin their careers. Position Highlights Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule Half-day Fridays Predominantly outpatient cardiology Shared inpatient/hospital responsibilities Work directly with six experienced cardiologists Established APP team and collaborative practice environment Hands-on training and mentorship Broad exposure to general and complex cardiovascular disease Competitive compensation with incentive opportunities Medical, dental and vision coverage Retirement benefits and paid time off Long-term growth within an established cardiology practice What You'll Do Evaluate and manage patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions Provide follow-up care in the outpatient clinic Assist with inpatient cardiology management and hospital rounding as needed Review diagnostic testing and coordinate treatment plans with supervising physicians Educate patients on cardiovascular conditions, medications and ongoing care Collaborate closely with cardiologists, APPs, nursing staff and other members of the care team What We're Looking For Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant graduate from an accredited program Current board certification or eligibility for certification, as applicable Eligible for an active Georgia license Strong interest in cardiology and cardiovascular disease management Cardiology experience is preferred but not required New graduate NPs and PAs with a strong clinical background are welcome to apply Team-oriented provider who values high-quality, patient-centered care Build Your Career in Cardiology At Columbus Cardiology Associates, you'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced cardiovascular physicians while gradually building confidence and independence in your practice.
