Locums About the Facility This 332-bed inpatient hospital provides surgical and medical services to the adult patient population served. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and the infrastructure necessary to support call-based general surgery coverage on an on-site basis. Clinical operations are structured to ensure quality surgical care delivery throughout each assigned holiday coverage period, with mid-level support staff available to assist clinicians. About the Facility Location The area offers a range of attractions suited to varied interests, including the State Botanical Garden of Georgia, Sandy Creek Park, and various hiking trails. A vibrant arts and culture scene features museums, galleries, and performing arts venues, while distinct neighborhoods and a university campus contribute to the local character. Outdoor enthusiasts will find options for cycling, golf, and geocaching, and many local attractions are available at no cost. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide 24-hour in-house general surgery call coverage on 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM shifts across ED and floor settings at an on-site inpatient facility, with no clinic duties associated with this assignment. Coverage is required for the following holiday periods: November 26

Primary responsibilities include admissions, rounding on practice patients, triaging and answering patient phone calls (general, post-operative, and other inquiries), and coordinating with on-call physicians and mid-level clinicians. Laparoscopic and robotic surgical experience is required, and board certification in General Surgery, an active state license, and residency and fellowship training are required for this assignment.
