Job Description
Locum Hospitalist needed to start ASAP and work ongoing near Higgston, GA. Target Start Date October 2026 (or as soon as privs can be issued) Need day, night and weekend coverage. Open ICU model with 24/7 intensivist support. Hospitalist is responsible for all codes and rapid responses. Exceptionally stable program with ~15-year average hospitalist tenure. Predictable admission structure for daytime providers - admissions are taken in structured time blocks rather than a round-robin approach, with block times alternating daily to ensure fairness, predictability, and flexibility. Shared team-based approach during peak volumes. Nocturnists are responsible for cross coverage and admissions, averaging 8-10 admissions per night. Admissions primarily from the ED. Target of 18-22 billable encounters per day shift with admissions factored into that Volume dependent daytime staffing model with 2-3 physicians + 1 APP who practices collaboratively and at the top of their licensure, independently rounding on approximately 80% of physician census, with physician chart reviews and co-signing as required. Must have GA license and active
