Job Description
Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Cardiology team in Hilo. The candidate will work alongside cardiologists and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in inpatient and outpatient settings. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations, histories, and physical exams for cardiology patients
- Manage and monitor common cardiovascular conditions: hypertension, CAD, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, hyperlipidemia
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests: EKGs, Holter monitors, echocardiograms, stress tests
- Assist in care coordination for procedures or specialty referrals
- Provide inpatient consults and follow-ups (if applicable)
- Participate in hospital rounds, discharge planning, and transitions of care
- Educate patients and families on lifestyle, medications, and disease management
- Collaborate with supervising cardiologists, primary care providers, and staff Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Hawaii license as NP or PA, or eligibility
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- BLS and ACLS certification
- 1-2 years cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred; strong new graduates considered
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- EMR experience preferred (Epic or equivalent) Benefits
