Job Description

An excellent opportunity has opened for an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician looking for a locum tenens position in Iowa. This position offers a unique chance to work in a reputable facility providing quality emergency care. The ideal candidate will be board certified or board eligible with at least two years of emergency medicine experience. Details of the position are outlined below:

12-hour shifts available, days or nights Shifts run from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Approximately 25-30 shifts per month with on-call coverage available
Support Staff :
30-hour advanced practice provider (APP) coverage
Average Daily Census :
Approximately 71 patients per day

Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Observance of Holidays :
Coverage may be required on major holidays
Candidate Requirements:
Licensure :
Must hold a current Iowa medical license or be eligible under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) Valid DEA and CSR licenses
Certifications :
Required:
ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and MRT for adult and child abuse reporting
Board Certifications :
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (also accepted: ABPS, IM, or FM with Emergency Medicine experience)
Experience :
Minimum of 2 years in emergency medicine Experience with
Cerner EMR :
Preferred Credentialing :
