Both inpatient and outpatient coverage — admissions required 15 patients per shift with assigned patient rounding Beeper call — 30 min response time, 100% callback required Upper GI endoscopy, PEG, colonoscopy, and more required Small bowel biopsy and sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid) required ERCP and esophageal dilatation/manometry preferred Call includes avg 5 phone consults, 5 seen, 5 admissions per 24 hrs
