About the Cardiac ICU 22-bed Cardiac-Neuro ICU (separate Neuro-ICU service) Average daily census: 12-14 patients Primary patient population includes: Post-open heart cardiac surgery patients Acute coronary syndromes, including STEMI Post-cardiac procedural patients Advanced heart failure Electrophysiology-related admissions Other complex cardiovascular disease states The Cardiac ICU is co-located with a Neuro ICU that is staffed and managed by a separate dedicated Neuro ICU team

7:00 PM- 7:30 AM Nights, weekends, and holidays required with generous shift differentials Inpatient role $70/hour prn rate Job Description Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the cardiac ICU. The purpose of this position is to provide high-quality, appropriate, and cost-effective critical care to patients in the Cardiac ICU, with a primary focus on post-cardiac surgery and complex cardiovascular disease. This role offers a highly collaborative and well-supported care model. Under the direction of the collaborating physician, provides care to patients in the cardiac ICU at Edward Hospital. Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their course of treatment in the hospital setting.
