Overview General Surgeon Prime Healthcare | Olympia Fields Hospital | Olympia Fields, Illinois Build Your Practice. Expand Access. Make an Impact. Prime Healthcare is seeking aBoard-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeonto join the medical staff at Olympia Fields Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, collaborative surgeon to build a successful practice while providing high-quality surgical care to patients throughout Chicago's south suburban communities. The ideal candidate will provide a broad range of general surgery services and work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing teams, and hospital leadership to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Qualifications Perform a wide array of general surgical procedures, including but not limited to hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery, appendectomies, colorectal interventions, breast surgery, endocrine procedures, and basic thoracic/vascular cases. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in tumor boards, trauma rounds, and quality initiatives to optimize patient care and outcomes. Participate in call coverage for emergency and trauma services. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in our integrated EMR system. Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in General Surgery. Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Active or eligible for Illinois medical licensure. Strong clinical skills with a commitment to evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and teamwork. Experience in trauma/surgical critical care is a plus but not required; new graduates and experienced surgeons are encouraged to apply. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $375,000-450,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
