Job Description
Psychiatrist (Physician) -
Skokie, IL Shifts:
Days (Mon-Fri)Job Description:
In this role, the physician will serve as a team leader in our patient care model, which is based on a multi-faceted treatment team methodology. Physicians have the opportunity to work in one or more levels of care, in both a live and virtual environment, as well as support patient admissions, protocol development, quality assurance and peer review evaluations.Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct medication management sessions with patients, psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Create patient treatment plans and manage updates
- Perform patient and family education, participate in team and unit meetings, and also Create discharge plan creation
- Provide collaboration with nurse practitioners and physician assistants
- Provide oversight of medical residents and fellows working on the unit
Qualification/Experience:
- Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
- Successful completion of a GME accredited residency and/or fellowship program, if working with children additional residency with this age group must have been obtained.
- 2 years or more experience working in a psychiatric hospital or clinic
- Be registered with Medicare as a community provider, or able to be registered.
- Leadership and/ or supervisory experience in a behavioral health organization is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Medical License to practice in State IL
