Job Description

A leading nonprofit healthcare organization in northwest Indiana, just 30 miles southeast of downtown Chicago , is seeking a BE/BC Palliative Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to join its growing Hospice & Palliative Care program.
Position Highlights:
Full-time Palliative Care opportunity Practice across two hospital campuses in northwest Indiana Average of 2 outpatient clinic days per week , based on patient volume Inpatient-focused practice with an average daily census of 6 patients Average outpatient volume of 5 6 patients per week Shared inpatient-only call rotation: 1:4 (weeknights and weekends) Collaborate with an experienced interdisciplinary team of physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, specialists, social workers, and an onsite chaplain National Catholic Bioethics certification provided Mission-driven program dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered hospice and palliative care Supportive, collegial practice environment focused on collaboration and quality care
Qualifications:
MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Eligibility for Palliative Care practice Eligible for an Indiana medical license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care Excellent communication and collaborative practice skills
