Job Description

General Psychiatrist (MD/DO) - Independence, KS (New Grads Welcome!) Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available
Job Type:
Full-Time (On-site)
Schedule:
4-5 days per week (8-10 hour clinic days; No nights, weekends, or on-call) Expected daily caseload: 15-20 patients, depending on schedule and role
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated General Psychiatrist to provide high-quality, timely outpatient psychiatric services within a collaborative and patient-centered clinical environment. The provider will work under the direction of the Medical Director and support the agency's mission through effective evaluation, treatment, and documentation practices. This position offers competitive compensation, strong benefits, and immediate openings with flexibility for candidates needing additional time for relocation or credentialing.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and other outpatient psychiatric services Maintain a minimum of 1000 hours of direct patient service annually Collaborate with nursing and clerical staff to support efficient clinic operations Complete accurate clinical documentation within required timelines Med management notes: Due by 9:00 AM the day after service Psychiatric evaluations: Due by the end of the 5th business day Deliver care that aligns with the CCBHC model and meets KPI performance standards Maintain positive relationships with patients and staff across all departments Support agency operations through collaboration with internal teams and external partners Demonstrate professionalism aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values
Qualifications:
MD or DO with active Kansas Medical License (required) Psychiatry specialty required New graduates welcome to apply Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle may be required
