Job Title:
Med/Surg Trauma Nurse - Spine, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic - Topeka, KS Ready to join a leading healthcare team in Topeka, Kansas? Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate:
$60.30 Pay package discussed upon application Benefits include: Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with all applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Robust referral bonus program Dedicated support team available 24/7 What You'll Do Provide expert nursing care to post-surgical trauma patients including neurosurgery, orthopedic, and spinal cases Monitor patient progress and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Document patient data accurately using Epic EMR system Assist with patient assessments, vital signs, and post-operative management Educate patients and families about treatment plans and recovery processes Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control procedures Support float requirements across various inpatient floors as needed
What You Need Required:
State RN license for Kansas or Multistate license BLS certification (AHA) 1+ year of recent Med/Surg Trauma experience Active immunizations: Hep B, MMR, Varicella (titers or vaccination proof) Willingness to float between related units
Preferred:
Experience with trauma, neurosurgery, or orthopedic patients Strong collaborative and communication skills About the Assignment Join a 27-bed unit at a leading facility in Topeka, KS, dedicated to providing exceptional post-operative care for spinal surgery, neurosurgery, and orthopedic trauma patients. Staff ratios are 1:6, with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered care. These roles support a fast-paced, team-oriented environment committed to safety, reliability, and continual improvement.
