Diagnose, manage and treat obstetrical and gynecologic patients in the emergency department and inpatient setting. Provide input in the development of standard of care guidelines for Ob/Gyn service line.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be licensed by the Louisiana State board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine. Board Certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology Current BLS, and ALS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off (ALS required by specialty only) Minimum of 3-years of Ob/Gyn practice post residency Practice-based learning and improvement Patient care and procedural skills Systems-based practice Appropriate medical knowledge Interpersonal and communication skills ProfessionalismPHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.Physical Effort required:
