Job Description
Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Opportunity Just Outside of New Orleans Help build and shape a growing Pulmonary & Critical Care program in one of Louisiana's most desirable communities. This opportunity offers the rare chance to join a developing service line with strong hospital support, established referral pathways, and meaningful input into the future direction of the program. You'll enjoy a balanced schedule, significant earning potential, and the ability to make a lasting impact on patient care across the region. Practice Overview You'll join a growing Pulmonary & Critical Care team as the second physician in the program Help develop and expand a new pulmonary service line with strong administrative backing Provide care in a 12-bed ICU and support an inpatient pulmonary consult service averaging 10-12 consults weekly Optional outpatient pulmonary clinic available for physicians interested in building an ambulatory practice Schedule 7 days on / 7 days off schedule Shared call coverage during service weeks Combination of ICU management and pulmonary consult responsibilities Opportunity to customize your practice mix with optional outpatient pulmonary care Compensation & Benefits $500,000 guaranteed base salary Uncapped RVU production model with substantial long-term earning potential Comprehensive benefits package including malpractice coverage and retirement benefits Additional incentives may be available based on final package structure Candidate Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Interest in helping build and grow a pulmonary program Comfortable practicing in a community-based setting with specialist support Collaborative physician who values long-term relationship building within the medical community Community & Location Highlights Live in a family-friendly community on Louisiana's sought-after Northshore Excellent public and private school options Enjoy boating, fishing, golf, dining, and year-round outdoor recreation Easy access to New Orleans, Gulf Coast beaches, regional airports, and a lower cost of living than many major metropolitan areas Let's talk about how this opportunity can help you achieve your professional and personal goals!
