Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services, including patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and health education. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations. Your expertise will help ensure efficient clinical operations and promote optimal health outcomes for our patients. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments including intake, vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using EMR/EHR system.. Prescribe medications and administer injections in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines, utilizing advanced knowledge of pharmacology and drug enforcement policies. Perform diagnostic evaluations, interpret diagnostic tests (such as radiology reports or laboratory results), and develop appropriate treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions. Manage urgent care cases, triage patients effectively, and provide acute pain management using evidence-based practices. Assist in procedures such as suturing or other minor outpatient interventions; support hospital-based procedures including ventilator management or airway management when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across specialties including infectious disease care, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and critical care to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Document all clinical encounters accurately in EMR/EHR systems while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards; collect data for clinical research or quality improvement initiatives. Requirements Current licensure as a Physician Assistant with valid certification from the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants). Demonstrated experience in primary care settings with proficiency in hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience working with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical examinations accurately and conduct client communication effectively; skilled in medical records management and data collection. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Critical Care experience are preferred. Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, specialists in infectious disease care or occupational health. Knowledge of drug enforcement regulations related to injection administration and medication prescribing; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus.
