Job Description The Director of Radiology provides strategic, administrative, and clinical leadership for all imaging services, including Nuclear Medicine, CT, Ultrasound, Angio/Interventional Lab, Mammography, and MRI. This role oversees daily operations, staff performance, quality, regulatory compliance, and patient care across the department.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and oversee imaging operations, staffing, and clinical services. Provide administrative and clinical supervision to department staff. Coordinate and manage external contract services as needed. Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and quality initiatives in compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in strategic planning, revenue analysis, budgeting, and resource management. Manage financial, equipment, and material resources effectively and in alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate with physicians, clinical leaders, and multidisciplinary teams across the health system and community. Provide direct patient care when needed and within scope of licensure. Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for patients across the lifespan, from infants through geriatric adults.
Work Experience Education:
Graduate of a radiologic technology program approved by the American Medical Association Council on Medical or combination of education and experience necessary to obtain proficiency in job duties. Possesses current Maryland State license or is eligible.
Experience:
At least 5 years of clinical experience with 3 years in a supervisory/management capacity (staff and students); as well as experience in program development and quality improvement. Knowledge in business management, personnel management and budgeting; regulatory agency requirements helpful. Previous experience using a business office suite, such as Microsoft Office, is required. Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required. Benefits Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
Compensation Pay Range:
