Geriatrician - University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC)

University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and a leading provider of primary care in Anne Arundel County, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Geriatrician to join our established outpatient Primary Care group.

Candidates must have completed or be currently completing an accredited Geriatric Medicine fellowship and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Geriatric Medicine.

This is an excellent opportunity for a physician passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to an adult and geriatric population within a collaborative and well-established outpatient practice.

• Full-time outpatient opportunity in Anne Arundel County, Maryland
• Focus on the care of older adults and patients with complex medical needs
• Manage acute and chronic conditions with an emphasis on prevention, wellness, functional health, and quality of life
• Provide longitudinal care for patients with multiple chronic conditions and age-related health concerns
• Approximately 18+ patients per day
• Established primary care network with multiple practice locations throughout Anne Arundel County

  Qualifications
  
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  
• Completion of, or current enrollment in, an accredited Geriatric Medicine fellowship required
  
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Geriatric Medicine required
  
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, as applicable
  
• Demonstrated clinical experience and commitment to the care of older adults
  
• Current or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Maryland
  
• Current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification
  
• Ability to obtain appropriate clinical privileges within UMMS, as applicable
  
• Meets applicable CME requirements for medical licensure and board certification
  
• Demonstrates the qualifications and clinical experience necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position

Compensation:

$300,000 annually

In addition to base salary, physicians are eligible for productivity and quality incentive opportunities and a comprehensive UMMS benefits package.
