Job Description

Urgent Care Physician Maryland Location:
Maryland Schedule:
Ongoing PRN shifts. Typical shift is 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Minimum commitment of 6 to 8 shifts per month.
Openings:
1 Position Overview Urgent care coverage with a solo provider model supported by medical assistants (some sites may also have nursing support). Providers must be willing to float within the local region as needed to cover clinics.
Clinical Details Setting:
Urgent Care Typical cases: general urgent care including physicals and common procedures such as incision and drainage, suturing, digital blocks, pelvic exams, nail procedures, burn care, fluorescein exam, joint reduction, EKG interpretation, radiology interpretation, and epistaxis control.
Patient volume:
20 to 40 patients per 12 hours (up to 4 patients per hour).
Ages seen:
2 years and older.
EMR:
Experity (Velocidoc). Required Qualifications Board certification as applicable. DEA required. Urgent care experience required. NPDB self query required. Clean background and clean NPDB history required. Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify. Travel and Lodging Travel and lodging support may be available for consecutive work days. Mileage support may be available based on distance. Onboarding Onboarding and credentialing timeline is typically about one week, plus an in clinic paid shadow shift.
