Job Description

Meritus Medical Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Physician Practice Clinical Supervisor to support the daily operations of our clinical practice. This leadership role partners closely with the Practice Manager to oversee clinical staff, promote quality patient care, ensure regulatory compliance, and support operational excellence. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical knowledge, leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to staff development and patient experience. Key Responsibilities Assist in the daily clinical operations of the physician practice Supervise and support clinical staff including CMA, LPN, and RN team members Coordinate staff scheduling, PTO management, and timekeeping review Lead onboarding, training, mentoring, and ongoing staff development initiatives Maintain laboratory certifications and ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements Partner with providers to support: Electronic Health Record (EHR) workflows Quality metrics and reporting Value-based care initiatives Quality improvement projects Manage clinical supplies and inventory Support recruitment, retention, and employee engagement efforts Promote effective communication through staff rounding and performance feedback Serve as a patient experience champion and assist in resolving clinical concerns and complaints Provide direct clinical support to the practice as operational needs require Electronic Health Record (EHR) workflows Quality metrics and reporting Value-based care initiatives Quality improvement projects
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum 2 years of outpatient clinical experience Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Licensure/Certification:
One of the following qualifications is required:
Medical Assistant:
Minimum 5 years of Medical Assistant experience; certification preferred
LPN:
Current Maryland licensure with minimum 2 years of experience Other licensed clinical specialties (ex: Radiology Technician) with at least 2 years of applicable experience may be considered Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team-building abilities Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment Commitment to professionalism, quality care, and employee development Caring for Our Team We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees' well-being and professional growth.
