Job Description
Lincoln Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital and proud member of MaineHealth, is seeking a full-time Geriatrician to join our experienced and collaborative team. Lincoln Hospital operates nursing homes on two of its campuses in Damariscotta and Boothbay Harbor. This position will primarily be based at our Damariscotta campus, providing care to long-term care residents. There is also flexibility to expand the practice outside of the nursing home, based on candidate interest, including opportunities for inpatient care at other MaineHealth facilities or primary care within other Lincoln Hospital outpatient clinics. This role will be part of the Division of Geriatrics at MaineHealth, a system-wide team that delivers comprehensive geriatric services across the state. These services include inpatient and outpatient care, community resources, and access to healthcare practitioners specifically trained in Geriatrics. While the core Geriatrics team is based in Portland, this position will play a key role in expanding services throughout Maine's MidCoast region. Desired Qualifications & Experience Education/Training:
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or equivalent.
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Eligible for licensure in the State of Maine.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics or similar.
- Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing and privileges at designated hospital locations.
