Permanent Surgical Oncology Opportunity in
Lewiston, MEPosition Overview:
Seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Surgical Oncologist to join a growing, multidisciplinary cancer program. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive oncologic surgical care within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Practice Details:
Full-time employed positionEstablished cancer program with strong referral networkMultidisciplinary collaboration with medical and radiation oncologyParticipation in tumor boards and case conferencesAccess to advanced surgical technology and oncology servicesOpportunity to develop subspecialty focus (GI, hepatobiliary, melanoma, soft tissue, etc.)Academic and teaching opportunities available
Clinical Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat patients with benign and malignant tumorsPerform complex oncologic surgical proceduresConduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including biopsies and tumor resectionsProvide consultations and ongoing follow-up careCollaborate with oncology, radiology, and pathology teams to develop treatment plansMaintain accurate EMR documentation
Requirements:
MD or DO degreeCompletion of General Surgery residencyFellowship training in Surgical Oncology preferredBoard Certified or Board Eligible in General SurgeryEligible for Maine medical licenseCommitment to multidisciplinary, patient-centered care
