Southeast Michigan Position Overview:
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon (MD or DO) to join our established and growing private orthopedic practice in Southeast Michigan. Our physician-owned group consists of five orthopedic surgeons representing multiple orthopedic subspecialties and serves a large, well-established referral base throughout the region. We welcome applications from both experienced orthopedic surgeons seeking relocation opportunities and graduating residents or fellows interested in building a successful practice within a collaborative, physician-led environment. While fellowship training is preferred, we are open to candidates from a variety of orthopedic backgrounds and subspecialties. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional patient care, contributing to practice growth, and participating in a collegial team culture. What We Offer Competitive compensation package with productivity incentives Partnership opportunity Ownership participation opportunities in ambulatory surgery center and ancillary services Established referral network and strong community reputation In-office physical therapy services DME program Modern office facilities with physician-owned real estate Collaborative multi-subspecialty orthopedic environment Experienced clinical and administrative support staff Paid professional expenses Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, malpractice coverage, and paid time off Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of orthopedic conditions and injuries Perform surgical and non-surgical orthopedic procedures consistent with training and expertise Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient orthopedic care Participate in practice call coverage schedule Develop and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians, therapists, athletic trainers, and community partners Collaborate with fellow orthopedic surgeons and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development efforts Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice Support mentorship and educational activities when appropriate QualificationsRequired Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Michigan Eligible for hospital privileges within affiliated healthcare systems Strong interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based orthopedic care Preferred Fellowship training in any orthopedic subspecialty including: Sports Medicine Adult Reconstruction/Joint Replacement Hand and Upper Extremity Foot and Ankle Trauma Spine Shoulder and Elbow Interest in practice development and long-term partnership Experience with outpatient surgery and ambulatory surgery center utilization About Our Practice Our physician-owned orthopedic group has provided high-quality musculoskeletal care to Southeast Michigan for decades.
