Transplant Nephrologist Renal Associates of West Michigan seeks a qualified transplant nephrologist to join our expanding practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is a unique opportunity to work in a cutting-edge transplant center, with a strong focus on innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration, in the West Michigan area. Candidates must be board certified (or eligible) by American Board of Internal Medicine and Nephrology, completed transplant fellowship training, and have and have a passion for providing patient-centered care. developed a transplant service line and have an interest in clinical service. Our multidisciplinary approach and the experience of our transplant team allow us to treat the most complex patients, including those with numerous co-morbidities. Our physician team includes experienced nephrologists and surgeons who work cohesively with an experienced support team consisting of advanced physician providers, transplant coordinators, dedicated pharmacist, social worker, and financial counselor. - Provide comprehensive care to kidney transplant patients, including pre-transplant evaluation, post-transplant management, and long-term follow-up.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, advanced practitioners, and transplant coordinators, to deliver exceptional care to patients.
- Collaborate with kidney, heart, and lung transplantation teams as part of a highly innovative program.
- Participate in paired kidney exchange programs through the National Kidney Registry.
- Engage in clinical research and academic activities to contribute to the growth and reputation of the transplant program.
- Offer compassionate and patient-focused care in a collaborative healthcare environment. Required Qualifications
- ABIM certification in Internal Medicine/Nephrology (or eligible)
- Experience managing kidney transplant patients across all phases of care.
- Strong knowledge of current evidence-based practices in Transplant Nephrology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
