Job Description

We're looking for a dedicated physician to serve as Medical Director/Attending for skilled nursing facilities in Houghton Lake, Michigan, and surrounding communities. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative team environment, and the chance to positively impact post-acute and long-term care patients. You'll work alongside experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, providing hands-on clinical care as well as leadership and oversight at the facilities you're assigned. Where you could work Local opportunity: Houghton Lake, MI (with coverage across nearby skilled nursing facilities) Other Michigan locations: Bad Axe, East Jordan, Grayling, Holland, Manistique, Mount Pleasant, Ovid, St. Joseph, and Temperance Nationwide openings available in: GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MO, NC, OH, TN, and WI What the role looks like Part-time coverage with physicians typically on-site 1-2 days per week at each facility No fixed start/end times, no overnight shifts, and no on-call requirements Expect roughly 18-25 patient visits per day Flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance You'll receive a company-provided iPad with LTE for efficient documentation and communication New graduates who are board-eligible and actively pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply Compensation & benefits Competitive pay with earning potential above industry benchmarks Up to $50,000 long-term retention incentive Performance-based bonuses Paid time off; 401(k) with employer match Medical, dental, and vision for eligible physicians Employer-paid life insurance; short- and long-term disability for eligible physicians CME allowance and licensure reimbursement Company-provided iPad with LTE and a professional lab coat What we're looking for MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license—or eligibility for licensure Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care If you're excited by the idea of flexible, meaningful work in skilled nursing and post-acute settings—while partnering with a dedicated clinical team—we'd love to hear from you.
