Certification ACLS Certification Outpatient experience Outpatient facility experience Hematology Medical License Multidisciplinary team collaboration for treatment planning Oncology Full Job Description We are seeking a Medical Oncology and Hematology Physician for outpatient clinic coverage on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with clinic call responsibilities as needed.Coverage Details:
Type:
- Outpatient clinic and clinic call
Hours:
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
On-Call Requirements:
- Clinic call only
Patient Volume:
- Expect to see an average of 15-20 outpatient clinic patients per day.
EMR System:
- Cerner
Practice Environment:
- The position is within a dedicated Oncology and Hematology outpatient clinic. This setting previously operated with a two-physician model supported by Nurse Practitioners.
Support Staff Includes:
- Oncology RNs Medical Assistants Social Worker
- Dietitian
- Nurse Navigator
Onsite Services Provided:
- Infusion center
- Onsite CBC testing
- Ongoing recruitment for a full-time physician.
Required Skills and Procedures:
- Expertise in outpatient hematology and oncology care
- Active participation in the tumor board
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Shift Structure:
- The role primarily involves outpatient care on the designated weekdays, with optional night and weekend call available.
Job Requirements:
- Physical presence in Lapeer is mandatory.
Certification and License Requirements:
- Must be Board Certified.
- A valid Michigan medical license is required.
