Job Description
Corewell Health's department of behavioral health is growing to add a BC/BE Adult Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist to Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital. The Consult Liaison (CL) Psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to provide psychiatric consultation to medical/surgical units and emergency department for patients with primary psychiatric conditions or psychiatric comorbidities. The CL Psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and give recommendations for patients on the respective services, and facilitate referrals for long-term treatment when needed for the diverse population served. This role includes resident and medical student education. This role will be expected to be on site at one Corewell Health hospital and be responsible for telehealth consults at multiple Corewell Health hospital locations and emergency departments. Y ou will be an employed physician, with knowledgeable practice management professionals assisting in day-to-day operations and take advantage the resources and referral base of the larger Corewell Health East system! It is affiliated with Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, Michigan State University college of Osteopathic Medicine and Wayne State University School of Medicine.
